I used Aperture for a decade and just a week with Lightroom shows its superiority with photo organization and editing. Serious ammeters and professional benefit most from the Adobe product. From Some good improvements over LR 5 but an uncertain future I am using LR since version 1.3 and each one has allowed to improve my editing workflow. Very powerful for cataloging and editing your images.

This one now includes the possibility of Panorama and HDR, so less Photoshop on each LR iteration. However, this time Adobe did very complicated the upgrade to the standalone users and the new releases within versions 6.x discriminate between CC and standalone users. Adobe favors CC customers against standalone ones. Seems that the future of LR is in CC and not in our desktops.very bad Adobe.that's means 4 stars and not 5 for the product. Maybe the new policy will make me take a look at Capture One in the near future.

I've used Lightroom since version 4 and have loved it since. Every time a new version came out, I love the new options, interface change, etc. With the LR 6, things changed quite dramatically, especially with the new Dehaze feature. It will be my new toy for a long time. Now, not many people would like to dehaze their photos, in some instances it would really help.

Overall, my wife and I are loving it. My wife really enjoys shooting in B&W, LR 6 has everything she needs to acquire the best results for that type of photography. First of all, I want to say that the 3 stars have nothing to do with B&H.

B&H is a reference in north America when it comes to photography. They are super professional! I bought this new version of Lightroom 6 to be able to work on the images from my new Canon 5DSR. Adobe wont upgrade Lightroom 5 so you have to buy the new version. It is pretty much same as Lightroom 5 with a few new features.

I am working with Lightroom since a few years, it is user friendly and will shorten your work flow. The interface is easy to understand and work with.

BUT BE AWARE that the new Dehaze Tool is NOT going to be included in this version of Lightroom. The Dehaze Tool is ONLY AVAILABLE with the CC version of Lightroom 6.

It is a shame! It isn't like if the software was two years old! In fact, it is available since a 2 or 3 months and I paid almost $ for the software and apparently, it is impossible for Adobe to update it with the Dehaze Tool but they were able to do so with the CC version. I tought I was doing a good thing in buying this, paying once for it but no I wasn't. Adobe wants us to pay for the CC every months again and again and again. If I knew this at first, I would have bought CaptureOne from PhaseOne.

After a little over a week of use I am happy with my decision, I really enjoy editing in lightroom. Some of the things are a little different, especially the way lightroom organizes files but its not a huge difference.

Runs really well on my 2011 macbook pro. The only upgrade I've made to it is 16gig ram, don't have the high end graphics or processor. I really like the batch editing feature, perfect for adding tweaks to a whole bunch of photos.

Now that Apple has totally screwed their Photos, this is the way to go if you want to make your photos pop! This is everything I had hoped, file management AND amazing editing software. I'd personally forgo buying Elements and go straight to LR - you can do so much, plus HDR and Panoramas. It even has social media capability - FB and Flickr. It's easy to work with and there are plenty of training on YouTube if you get jammed up.

When you purchase the e-download version of Lightroom, the download code that B&H sends is a one-time download. You can have LR6 on up to 2 computers with your serial number though, so I thought, No problem. B&H customer service let me know that I had to get LR6 from Adobe's website for my second computer. The problem is, LR6 is HIDDEN on Adobe's website.

So I spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to download LR6 from Adobe's site instead of LR CC. Apparently, Adobe would rather you spend 9.99 a month for your entire photography life instead of being able to buy something one time and be done with them. After an hour on hold with customer support AND on hold with their live chat, I finally got all that I needed: the link to the hidden LR6 download. SUCH a hassle!!! But not B&H's fault. Unless they can send two download codes, which would help.
